I thought Mads' LeChiffre was a terrific villain because of his ordinariness, not in spite of it. What makes LeChiffre interesting is that he is intelligent and ruthless, yet he has his own personal weaknesses.
They have become so tiresome and boring to me. I get tired of people expecting Bond villains to be the usual over-the-top meglomaniacs out to rule the world.
